Description

NORCAL Ambulance is looking to add a skilled Staff Accountant to our growing Finance Department

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has:

  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • Degree preferable in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks.
  • Cashflow360 (Bill.com) Payment Solution Proficiency
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving, strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgement, support and explain reasoning and include appropriate people in decisions.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced MS Office and spreadsheet skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Month-end close, including, but not limited to bank reconciliations, CC reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable, prepaids, accrued liabilities, leases and notes payable.
  • Performs day to day transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounts payable data.
  • Issue and track PO processes.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due.
  • Track and reconcile Inventory processes.
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payable status and maintain AP Aging.
  • Prepare intermediate Excel schedules using Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and other formulas with large data files.
  • Update and maintain vendor database; this includes Vendor set up and 1099 preparation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Answer vendor phone calls and manage AP filing.
  • Ability to process and follow up on rush items.
  • Enter Credit Card transactions and reconcile on weekly basis.
  • Special AdHoc projects as assigned and as-needed basis.
