Electro/Mechanical AssemblerLocation: Newark, DEStart Date: ASAPPay Rate: $18.25/hourDuration: One year with possible extension based on business need and performanceShift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMPositions Available: 2Role Overview:We are seeking Electro/Mechanical Assemblers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, testing, and inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies according to specifications.Key Responsibilities: Assemble and test electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and system-level hardware. Perform in-process testing of products being manufactured. Complete Device History Record data accurately. Handle assembly and test requirements for reconditioned hardware. Support packaging functions in Instruments Manufacturing as needed. Maintain compliance with Hologic policies, including QSR, ISO, and EH&S standards. Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering irons) and perform mechanical inspections (calipers, indicators). Operate basic electrical test equipment (multimeters). Provide training and support for manufacturing and service operations. Participate in safety initiatives and internal audits for regulatory compliance. Perform other duties as required.Education & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree preferred). 0-1 years of relevant experience. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive). Ability to read and follow written procedures. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. High attention to detail and focus on quality.Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, and use hands to manipulate tools. Lift and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and high-voltage electronics.
