As a Coordinated Account Manager, you are responsible for driving revenue, deploying global strategies, and serving as a trusted business partner to one of our key customers with a global reach. In addition to fostering established relationships and managing existing sales, you will identify new areas of growth and expand your network both locally and globally. The individual we are seeking will lead cross-functional and cross-cultural IFF teams in creating and deploying strategies that align with our customer's goals and ambitions. To be successful in this role you must have 7+ years of experience within a strategic sales function. In this role, you will be a part of a dynamic and driven sales team and report into the North American Sales Leader for Beverage. Major responsibilities

  • Achieve profitable sales growth targets by maintaining and growing business
  • Cultivate and strengthen customer relationships in both local and global markets at all levels of the company
  • Create, develop and present account strategies that align IFF's diverse portfolio, proprietary technologies and vast capabilities to our customers' goals and key growth areas
  • Engage relevant internal stakeholders across all regions to execute account strategy
  • Coordinate global strategy and growth efforts by hosting regular connects with your cross-functional and cross-regional teams
  • Implement strategic initiatives to improve profitability, including optimizing order patterns for customer and IFF
  • Provide and maintain accurate sales forecasts on a regular basis
  • Manage pricing negotiations, pricing portfolio and achieve gross profit targets
  • Accountable for all communications with the customer, as well as being the liaison for all various functions between customer and IFF
  • Coordinate with internal functions to provide timely information to all matters relating to the service of accounts.
  • Present to customers and/or arrange presentations for customers
  • Host and coordinate customer visits / workshops both locally and globally
  • Gain opportunities and projects and provide accurate and detailed entry into the IFF project system ensuring that all required information is "first time right". This includes opportunities entered by support staff.
  • Manage project timelines and progress by coordinating with internal stakeholders and maintain timely and accurate information for on-going projects in the project management system - this may include hosting a weekly update meeting
  • Participate in team and cross-functional team meetings when requested
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Management majoring in Sales or Marketing or any other relevant discipline
  • Experience: 7+ years in sales with a proven record of growing accounts organically
  • Desire and aptitude to learn new products and manage a broad product portfolio
  • Experience navigating complex organizational networks, including working with various levels and functions within the organization
  • Ability to interact with and inspire diverse and multi-cultural teams
  • Familiar with senior management reporting
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Confident, dynamic and enthusiastic professional with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to cultivate deep customer relationships and generate trust by delivering on commitments
  • Proficient in Microsoft office e.g.: Office, Access, Excel or PowerPoint
  • High passion for the food industry
  • Have a valid driving license and willing to travel at least 50% of work week. Some International travel may be required.
