POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Executive Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading and managing the commercial Office & Industrial (O&I) sales force, High-Value Product (HVP) sales force, and household sales force. Additionally, this role will involve the strategic expansion of additional sales forces of the same types. The EVP of Sales will develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and ensure the alignment of sales efforts with the company’s overall objectives. This position requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in sales management, a deep understanding of market trends, and the ability to foster synergies across multiple sales teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement robust sales strategies to achieve the company’s revenue growth objectives.
Identify and capitalize on market opportunities and trends to drive sales performance.
Create and manage short-term and long-term sales plans that align with overall business goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse sales team, including commercial O&I, HVP and household sales forces.
Oversee recruitment, training, and development of sales staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Establish a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence within the sales department.
Sales Performance Management:
Set clear sales goals and quotas for each sales team and monitor performance against targets.
Implement performance metrics and reporting systems to track sales activities and outcomes.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to sales representatives.
Budget and Forecasting:
Create and manage the sales department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and reports to support strategic decision making.
Monitor and control expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
Collaboration and Synergy:
Collaborate closely with the marketing department to align sales and marketing efforts, enhance lead generation, and optimize promotional activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Facilitate integration and synergy across new sales teams resulting from future acquisitions, ensuring seamless transitions and unified sales strategies.
Market Intelligence:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging market opportunities.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team based on market analysis and customer feedback.
Expansion and Growth:
Lead the strategic expansion of additional sales forces, including the recruitment and training of new sales teams.
Develop and execute market entry strategies for new regions and product lines, with a special emphasis on the Life Sciences Industry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing large sales teams.
Strong understanding of commercial O&I, HVP, and Household sales markets.
Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching and development.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
