Associate Director for Alumni Relations

As a member of the Advancement team, the Associate Director for Alumni Relations is responsible for executing Baltimore City Community College's (BCCC) Alumni engagement strategy. The Associate Director reports to the Vice President of Advancement and supports the President regarding alumni relations. The Associate Director manages the execution, direction and coordination of all Alumni engagement events and fosters excellent alumni relations with BCCC's Alumni Association. This position maintains the integrity and accuracy of Alumni data tracked in the organizational database. The Associate Director possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as comprehensive knowledge about BCCC and its history. The individual works in a shared governance environment with diverse populations of students and staff to embrace and promote the mission and core values of the College.
* 5 years minimum experience in alumni relations and external relations & prior experience working in higher education preferred.
* Strong organizational and persuasive communicative skills.
* Effective time management skills.
* Successful execution of projects in a timely manner.
* Functional skills with Windows, Microsoft Office, Alumni Software and Data Management Software.
* Commitment to BCCC's mission and values.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
* BA or BS degree in Communications or Marketing, or a bachelor's degree in any field with community networking experience. Master's Degree preferred. Valid Driver's License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS
* Events require minimal physical setup for presentations.
