Project Engineer

Responsibilities: Plan and manage projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and capacity.
Evaluate and implement new manufacturing processes to enhance operations.
Conduct ROI analyses to assess the feasibility of projects.
Oversee project execution with both internal and external teams.
Design custom equipment using CAD software (AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks.)
Ensure engineering projects are completed successfully by setting goals, budgets, timelines, and tracking progress.
Develop automation projects with external partners, from start to finish.
Coordinate the design, purchase, and installation of machinery and equipment, working closely with Plant Operations.
Maintain relationships with vendors to keep equipment updated with the latest technology.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
Contribute to maintaining safe and orderly work environments at corporate and plant levels.
Foster teamwork across plants and business units to drive improvements.
Manage projects effectively, including planning resources, forecasting costs, and scheduling.
Support capital projects post-delivery by collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.
Ensure safety and proper training during project start-up.
Assist in new product development by prototyping and ensuring manufacturability.
Create and maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.


Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent industry experience.
5+ years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or similar role.
Experience with continuous flow manufacturing, standard work, and pull systems highly desirable,
Proficiency in AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks.
Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming, support and troubleshooting.
