The Gazette: Sales Account Executive - Special Projects

The Gazette, a trusted Eastern Iowa news leader for over 140 years, seeks a passionate and results-oriented Sales Account Executive to join our team. This role will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and supporting the sales team. This individual will be responsible for coordinating sales activities, generating leads, and closing deals.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Coordination:
    • Manage sales pipeline and track sales progress
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
    • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
    • Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process and beyond
  • Outbound Sales:
    • Identify and generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and other prospecting techniques
    • Identify prospects and determine their potential fit for specific products or services
    • Prepare sales presentations and proposals

You'll be a great fit if you have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A positive and energetic attitude. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey the value proposition of The Gazette's advertising solutions
  • A results-driven mindset with a strong work ethic and a dedication to exceeding sales targets
  • A collaborative and team-oriented work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
