White Elephant Resorts is seeking a Front Office Manager for its Relais & Châteaux property, The Wauwinet, for the 2024 season.

Job Description

The Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the Front Office, Bell Services and Drivers, Concierge, Retail and Beach staff in an attentive, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with quality service while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. In addition to front office responsibilities.

Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a resort style hotel.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Oversee the check-in/check-out process
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel standards, policies and events
  • Ensure that current information on rates, packages and promotions is available at the Front Desk and that all staff is knowledgeable on such
  • Work with Rooms Division Manager to review the daily business levels, anticipate critical situations and plan effective solutions to best expedite these situations
  • Help prepare and adjust weekly work schedules
  • Ensure that staff report to work as scheduled, coordinate breaks for staff, assign work duties to staff

Qualifications

Applicants should also work well under pressure, possess excellent communication skills, be organized, flexible and self-motivated. Experience with computers and Microsoft Office essential.
