Position Summary

The Technical Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and upkeep of all company assets including equipment, and systems and coordinating any building requirements with the Facilities Manager, manage and execute capital as well as minor projects. In this role you will oversee Technicians and will be expected to ensure that health and safety regulations are followed, and coordinate with other departments to ensure that all maintenance activities are done efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities & Duties

* Direct maintenance and repair of all process, production and auxiliary equipment.
* Assure sufficient supply of required equipment and material for effective performance and ensure that purchase orders are initiated as needed.
* Verify necessary data, records and reports, as well as the lifecycle of the molds are maintained.
* Ensure participation and cooperation in company implemented programs, certifications, and regulations.
* Maintain and execute the PM program through SAP, and establish with Production scheduling of downtime.
* Coordinate capital budget planning and execution, collaborate with D&A department on new implementations.
* Follow and enforce 6S principles.
* Directly Lead & manage employees in the maintenance department.
* Responsible for hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
* Hold daily performance dialogue meetings with maintenance crew.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline required.
* Minimum of 10 years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* SAP (PM Module) or Similar ERP experience.
* Experience with CMMS systems to document all work performed and issuing work orders.

Other Requirements

* Knowledge of molding and packaging technology.
* Strong knowledge of root cause analysis .
* Knowledge and programing of Cognex system.
* Working knowledge and experience of CAD systems.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and MS Project.

Working Location

* This position is onsite at Colorcon's Belen, NM manufacturing facility.
* Travel: up to 10% travel may be required on an annual basis.
