Job Title Payroll Manager
Duration - ~ 4 - 6 Months (Currently Temp role but possibility for Temp-to-Perm based on business needs in future that depends upon client)
Location - 185 US Highway 46, Fairfield, NJ 07004
PR - $ 47/hr
BR - $ 65.8/hr
Onsite - must be On-Site 4 Days/Week, this may change to 5 Days/Week in the future.
The Role Hands-on manager role responsible for preparation, input and/or verification of information into the Ceridian Dayforce system for weekly and bi-weekly payrolls. Manage and provide ongoing business support for payroll and time tracking process. Manage ongoing development and enhancements to payroll processes. Support on-going projects with HRIS team such as implementations, upgrades, system testing and business process enhancements. Work with Payroll-HR Compliance to support internal and external audits related to Payroll system, user compliance, and data access. Responsible for running various reports and analyzing data.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :- Manage verification of master file changes such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, etc. that are fed into Ceridian Dayforce payroll system.
- Manage review of calculated timesheets in automated Time & Attendance system to identify errors and inputs quick entries, as necessary.
- Problem resolution of employee payroll-related issues.
- Manage and process union payments such as Health & Welfare and Pension on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Manage garnishments and employment claims process.
- Distribute scheduled reporting to appropriate departments within and outside the organization.
- Assist managers and employees with any Payroll related questions.
- Strong understanding of Payroll-HR processes and data to ensure correct and efficient integration of Payroll-HR systems.
- Special projects as needed.
- Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :- 6 years of Payroll administration experience required.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Ceridian Dayforce Payroll.
- Union experience strongly preferred.
- Experience training and mentoring team members.
- Experience documenting Payroll related business processes.
- Familiarity with Payroll-HR Compliance items.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate skills with Windows software such as Word, Excel, etc. is required.
- Need to be familiar with general ledger.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make recommendations and decisions.
- Highly focused on customer service, ability to interact well with employees throughout the organization.
- Must maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
- Must be able to maintain highly confidential data.
