Volt is NOW HIRING an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist in Englewood, Co. This successful candidate will have 3+ years of Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience with OSHA certifications.

Compensation: $75k Annual

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Schedule: Monday-Friday / 8AM- 5PM

As an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist you will:

* Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
* Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical).
* Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.
* Interacts with others in the administration of the worker's compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions.
* Monitors industrial health compliance.
* Support service team by managing cloud browser-based safety applications (Browz, ISNet World, Sphera, TAPPISafe, DISA) and documentation that demonstrate our service team members meet the site-entry safety requirements to complete scheduled contracted services.
* Work directly with customers to verify our safety programs and OSHA records meet their requirements and continual evolving requirements.
* Tracking personnel site hours to meet Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) above ground regulations.
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
* Other responsibilities include reviewing contract specifications and requirements, occasionally creating service proposals, and completing instruments quality assurance tests report.

This successful candidate will have:

* At least 3-5 years of industrial manufacturing industry experience, in an environmental health and safety role and/or training.
* Flexibility for rare occasional travel, which will be no more than 10% of the time
* Associate degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, four-year occupational safety degree
* Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Dynamics CRM, keyboard proficiency, good phone skills.
