Accounting Intern

We have an exciting opportunity at our Springfield, TN location for an Accounting Intern. The candidate will assist the accountants with research and client relations while preparing and editing financial reports and documents.

Your responsibilities will be to:

* Assist in processing invoices/payables.


* Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliations.


* Assist ATP Accounting Manager with weekly financial statement review to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and recommend any necessary adjustments.


* Maintain the fixed asset database and related depreciation schedules.


* Perform fixed asset physical verifications and keep plant layout map up to date.


* Reconcile fixed asset account between GL and FAS


* Monitor Construction in process and customer funded tooling spend and set up assets when projects are complete.


* Assist ATP accounting manager with end of month reporting.


* Other duties as assigned.



Our requirements:

* A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent


* Some college accounting preferred


* Currently enrolled in accounting classes at an accredited university with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0


* Basic general accounting education


* Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
