Overview

Responsible for reviewing invoices for accuracy and completeness; processing invoices for payment and posting records to accounts payable system.

Responsibilities

* Review of disbursements.
* Assist with the check run process.
* Review expenses for compliance to corporate policy.
* Process manual invoices, electronic invoices and dealer settlement packets.
* Verify and process invoices into accounting system with proper general ledger account numbers, due dates, approvals and discount.
* Review, reconcile and research vendor and dealer statements and questions.
* File and Maintain paid voucher files.
* Verify vendors are set up and invoices are processed with correct income codes to ensure proper tax reporting processing.
* Support Lead and Supervisor with year-end process, audit requests any other special requests or projects.
* Provide superior customer service to vendors, dealers and employees.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED; one year college or technical school preferred.
* Two or more years accounts payable experience.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: strong knowledge of Excel to include basic formulas and 10-key.
* Experience using accounting software
* Ability to use technology provided to analyze and process complicated transactions, research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, 1099 calculations.
* Strong customer service, professional telephone etiquette, problem solving and decision making abilities.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, dealers, and co-workers by telephone, in person or through written communication.
* Ability to work independently in a detailed and organized manner with a high degree of accuracy.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations and other Requirements:

* Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, twist, use and reach with hands and arms

Environmental Conditions:

* Works indoors in a controlled environment. May be subjected to dust and air borne particles.
