Position Overview:
As a Reliability and Asset Integrity Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of experts to assess, analyze, and mitigate asset reliability risks, enhancing production facilities and minimizing the occurrence of costly failures. Your role will be pivotal in formulating strategies aimed at bolstering the overall reliability and safety of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement reliability principles, including Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance technologies to ensure optimal asset availability.
- Oversee the mechanical integrity program, focusing on tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems.
- Establish and maintain an equipment hierarchy and asset identification for the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Coordinate with inspection contractors and manage third-party services for condition monitoring and reliability assessments.
- Review and develop P&IDs for all facilities across North America.
- Identify and manage a list of underperforming equipment, conducting failure analyses and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop tailored strategies for equipment maintenance, including lubrication and condition monitoring.
- Analyze engineering solutions to address recurring failures impacting plant operations.
- Conduct financial assessments of plant equipment to evaluate total ownership costs and identify potential savings.
- Lead the design and specification development for new equipment installations.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to create a critical spares program aligned with business needs.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and production teams.
- Expand the Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Program to additional North American facilities.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance and reliability sector.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance within a process manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Familiarity with financial and accounting principles is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Project.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining effective communication across departments.
- Experience with chemical and mechanical systems, including piping, fluid mechanics, and electrical systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of advanced predictive maintenance technologies.
- Experience with Mechanical Integrity Programs.
