Position Overview:

As a Reliability and Asset Integrity Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of experts to assess, analyze, and mitigate asset reliability challenges, aiming to enhance production facilities, minimize costly downtimes, and devise strategies that bolster the overall reliability and safety of operations, personnel, and production workflows. You will employ maintenance best practices and asset management methodologies to perpetually refine our existing Maintenance and Reliability Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement reliability principles, including the formulation of Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance technologies, and the development of Preventive Maintenance strategies to ensure optimal availability of plant assets.
  • Contribute to the management of the mechanical integrity program encompassing tanks, pressure vessels, overpressure devices, and piping systems.
  • Establish and maintain an equipment hierarchy and asset identification for field equipment, spare parts inventory, and critical equipment within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assist in overseeing Mechanical Integrity inspection contractors and coordinate third-party contractors for condition monitoring and reliability requirements.
  • Review and develop P&IDs for all North American facilities.
  • Identify and manage a list of underperforming fixed/rotating equipment, lead failure analyses, and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
  • Formulate equipment-specific strategies, including lubrication, condition monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
  • Evaluate and propose engineering solutions to eliminate recurring failures and other issues that negatively affect plant operations.
  • Conduct financial assessments on plant equipment to ascertain total cost of ownership and pinpoint potential savings.
  • Participate or lead in the design, development, and commissioning plans for new equipment installations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department to develop a Critical Spares program aligned with the operational needs of all North American sites.
  • Provide technical and engineering support as well as troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and production teams.
  • Engage in expanding the Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Program to additional North American facilities.
  • Manage and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance and reliability department.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) within a process manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential.
  • Familiarity with finance and/or accounting principles is preferred.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Project.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and adept at documenting practices routinely while effectively communicating with all departments in a manufacturing context.
  • Experience with chemical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting, including piping, fluid mechanics, pump mechanics, and electrical systems and design.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Experience with Mechanical Integrity Programs, including tanks, overpressure devices, pressure vessels, and piping systems.
