Position Overview:

As a Reliability and Asset Integrity Engineer, you will collaborate with a team of experts to assess, analyze, and mitigate asset reliability risks aimed at enhancing production facilities, minimizing costly breakdowns, and formulating strategies to bolster the overall reliability and safety of plant operations, personnel, and production workflows. We will utilize maintenance best practices and asset management techniques to perpetually refine our existing Maintenance and Reliability Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement reliability principles, including the development of Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance technologies, and Preventive Maintenance strategies to ensure optimal availability of plant assets.
  • Contribute to the management of the mechanical integrity program encompassing tanks, pressure vessels, overpressure devices, and piping systems.
  • Establish and maintain an equipment hierarchy and asset identification for field equipment, spare parts inventory, and critical assets within the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assist in managing mechanical integrity inspection contractors and coordinate third-party contractors for condition monitoring and reliability requirements.
  • Oversee, review, and develop P&IDs for all North American facilities.
  • Identify and manage a list of problematic fixed and rotating equipment, lead failure analysis, and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
  • Formulate equipment-specific strategies, including lubrication, condition monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
  • Assess and devise engineering solutions to eliminate recurring failures and other issues that negatively affect plant operations.
  • Conduct financial analyses on plant equipment to evaluate total cost of ownership and pinpoint savings opportunities.
  • Lead or participate in the design, development, installation specifications, and commissioning plans for new equipment.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department to develop a Critical Spares program aligned with the business needs of all North American sites.
  • Provide technical and engineering support, as well as troubleshooting assistance to maintenance and production teams.
  • Engage in expanding the Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Program to additional North American plants.
  • Develop and manage KPIs for the maintenance and reliability department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Some travel may be required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) within a process manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is required.
  • Familiarity with finance and/or accounting principles is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Project, is required.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and adept at documenting practices routinely while effectively communicating with all departments in a manufacturing context is required.
  • Experience with chemical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing setting, including piping, fluid mechanics, pump mechanics, and electrical systems, is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience with advanced predictive maintenance technologies is required.
  • Experience with the Mechanical Integrity Program, including tanks, overpressure devices, pressure vessels, and piping systems, is required.
