Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the financial reporting functionality of the business with focus on accounts receivable processing.

Essential Functions: Duties and Responsibilities

* Post cash receipts to client platform on a daily basis.
* Responsible for creating and posting relevant receipt journal entries into accounting software.
* Review client aging balance reports.
* Perform monthly aging collections exercise for balances 60 days or greater.
* Follow up on accounts receivable related client inquiries.
* Deposit physical checks received through desktop scanner.
* Perform ad hoc research and reports relevant to client account transactions.
* Support finance team for any general ledger reconciliations and other related tasks.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
* Prior experience with Oracle based accounting software preferred.
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel required.
* Exceptional organization and time management skills.

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related education is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting or related experience.

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
* Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with an office position that involves standing, sitting, reaching, manual dexterity to operate office machines, stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands or deliveries.
* May work at computer monitors for prolonged periods with danger of eye strain and muscle pain.
