EECU is looking for an AVP , M ortgage Sales, who will be responsible for all aspects of originations, timely actions, and setting reasonable expectations with members, operations, and vendors. Meeting sales goals, optimizing financial performance within the department, pipeline accountability and performance expectations of the Call Center and Branch MLO team and Outside MLO Team (future state). Will introduce industry best practices and scale all three mortgage sales channels for growth in alignment with market conditions and the credit union business model.

Responsible for managing, leading, directing, training, and motivating the Branch, Call Center Mortgage Loan Originators and outside MLO team (future state) in the production of mortgage loans, home equity loans, home improvement loans and other consumer real estate loans. to achieve growth in revenue and in the portfolio in alignment with leadership targets while optimizing the sales process and staffing effectively and efficiently.

Responsible for ensuring MLO’s are following loan guidelines and providing proper documentation. Ensures the quality of loan files and compliance of all regulations.
Originate loans as well as assist MLO’s with regards to disclosures, concerns, rates, and loan program questions. This includes but is not limited to originating and disclosing all loan types, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae, as well as Home Equity, HELOC, Home Improvement, Internal Refinance, and other Real Estate loan applications. This individual will develop and deepen relationships with new and existing realtors in alignment with the Branch MLO strategy.

Develop and implement a sustainable growth strategy for the Call Center and Branch mortgage sales department. Identify market opportunities and increase market penetration with a comprehensive plan and accountability.
Oversee and ensure that all team members meet the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) training requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures for all aspects of the mortgage sales process.
Responsible for overseeing and managing all expenses related to the mortgage sales division. This will include budgeting, forecasting, expense analysis, and cost control to ensure financial efficiency and support the overall profitability of the mortgage department.
Manages effective communication with our members, vendors & operations to run a high performing team. Constant recruiting to ensure ongoing success. Consistent MLO meetings to provide information, training, and coaching.

*Position is fulltime onsite. Located near downtown Fort Worth.

Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience:

· Minimum 10 years in real estate lending industry, with minimum of 8 years originating FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA mortgage loans that qualify as saleable in secondary market and developing and executing a scalable outside MLO growth strategy.
· Current NMLS number required
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Symitar, Encompass –LOS system, and Blend
· Must be proficient in calculating debt ratios, loan to value ratios, evaluate credit reports, title work/abstracts, appraisals, sales contracts, flood certificates, surveys, insurance taxes, exemptions, escrow analysis, private mortgage insurance.
· Ability to make decisions, people skills, organized and structure characteristics
· Excellent oral and written communications skills
· Proven strength in leadership and development of a team. Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
· Incumbent must have working knowledge of Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to lending.
· Must be knowledgeable of credit union products and services.
· Knowledge of conforming products, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae (FHA and VA) Reverse Mortgages, and escrow analysis required.
· Co llege degree required

· EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant's credit history. Only applicant's with good credit history will be considered for open positions.
Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
