Job Summary

EECU is seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team in Fort Worth. As a key member of our mortgage division, you will be responsible for originating, processing, and closing mortgage loans for our members. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and process mortgage loan applications from initial consultation to loan closing
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with members, branch managers, and staff to drive consistent lead generation and referrals
  • Conduct initial loan interviews with prospective borrowers to analyze financial and credit data and provide expert guidance
  • Correspond with 3rd party vendors, outside contacts, branches, processors, and underwriters to ensure timely loan processing and closing
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of active loan applications from multiple branches, ensuring timely processing and closing

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in the banking/financial industry, with 3-4 years in an independent mortgage environment as an originator
  • Proficiency in Velocify, Excel, Encompass, TalkDesk, Polly, Blend, and Microsoft Teams
  • Licensed in NMLS and through the State of Texas as a Mortgage Loan Originator
  • Ability to balance analytical processes of qualifying a mortgage applicant with sales skills to place them in the best loan product to meet the applicant's needs
  • Excellent written, oral, time management, and communication skills
