Overview: As the People Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of human resources within our hotel establishment. You will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective management of our workforce. Your primary goal will be to foster a positive work environment, attract and retain top talent, and uphold legal compliance in all HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Oversee the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding, ensuring timely and efficient hiring procedures.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates, including utilizing online job boards, attending job fairs, and establishing partnerships with educational institutions.
  • Conduct interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and make hiring recommendations to department heads.
Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a mediator in resolving conflicts and disputes between employees or between employees and management.
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and improve morale.
  • Address employee grievances and provide counseling and support as needed.
Performance Management:
  • Develop and implement performance appraisal systems to assess employee performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work with department heads to set performance goals and objectives aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to improve performance and productivity.
HR Compliance:
  • Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and maintain a fair and equitable work environment.
  • Handle all employee documentation and maintain accurate records related to employment, such as contracts, payroll, and benefits.
Benefits Administration:
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, Cobra and paid time off, and Workers' Compensation.
  • Communicate benefits information to employees and assist them with enrollment and claims inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office applications. (iSolved experience ideal but not required.)
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
