This position is 100% onsite in our Plymouth, MI office.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic individual to maintain and build new customer relationships, ensuring our organization is the preferred source for targeted programs/projects. The ideal candidate will:
  • Understand customers' decision-making processes and key players.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and global resources.
  • Drive tactical execution to win.
  • Identify and develop value-added, profitable actuator sales opportunities.
  • Negotiate beyond price, creatively promoting the value of our solutions.
  • Secure effective contracts/agreements.
  • Manage and track business wins, engineering, and commercial changes.
  • Apply financial analysis in evaluating various choices.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Implement product sales strategies and plans through internal collaboration and customer relationship management.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Develop relationships with customers, gather information on market trends, value points, and satisfaction with our service.
  • On-Site Engagement: Spend time at customer sites, developing relationships across various levels and disciplines; enact our priorities and negotiate effectively.
  • Financial Analysis: Apply financial analysis for complex business choices/projects, preparing various options considering short- and long-term effects.
  • VOC Translation: Convert Voice Of the Customer (VOC) input into technology road maps, engineering changes, and/or new productizing efforts.
  • DDP Process Management: Establish Discovery Driven Planning (DDP) process inputs (program, volume detail) and manage/track changes throughout the year.
  • CRM Coordination: Coordinate Customer Relationship Management software activities and Plant Sales Forecast and Actuals data for accurate planning and effective decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical products.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Professional level proficiency in Japanese.

  • Commercial awareness regarding market, products, business capability, and services.
  • Strategic thinking on markets, products, and projects.
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
