Tory Hill is looking to hire an Operations Manager to grow our team.  At Tory Hill, we believe that the choices we make about what to eat, where it comes from and how it is prepared have a powerful impact on the health of our community and the environment.   • The Operations Manager ensures client customer service with that meets and exceeds Client expectations
  • Supervise all aspects of dining services operations, including managing budgets, culinary production, food safety & event planning.
  • Responsible for all food service related activities; including board dining, catering and retail
  • Collaborate with chefs and nutritionists to plan diverse, nutritious, and appealing menus that cater to various dietary preferences and restrictions. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure adherence to established standards. 
  • Deliver timely, informative, and critical internal communications to a diverse group of faculty, staff, and other stakeholders regarding Dining Services operations. 
  • Supports salaried managers and hourly associates in the Food Service Department
  • Oversees the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account
  • Oversee the development of the departments’ operating budget, and ensure compliance with that budget. 
  • Utilize company systems for completion of required reporting to the client & company
  • Help to build and maintain the Companies relationship with local, state, and national governmental entities as well as the community. 
  • Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in adherence to company food standards for preparation, presentation, sanitation and safety (meeting HACCP and OSHA guidelines)
 Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Five to seven years of direct food service operational management experience with budget, inventory and purchasing knowledge 
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation  
  • Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management and development skills  
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Demonstrated commitment to building a diverse workforce and proven ability to recruit and retain highly qualified staff members. 
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills. 
  • Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer and associates
  • Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills  
  • Excellent computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, Google Suite, QuickBooks, Excel and Adobe.
