Position Details

We are in search of a skilled Financial Operations Manager to supervise our financial processes and guarantee the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt and precise processing.
  • Manage job costing, payroll functions, and the creation of financial and tax documentation.
  • Conduct comprehensive month-end closing activities, including analysis to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
  • Prepare sworn statements, obtain lien waivers from subcontractors, and review escrow agreements as necessary for cash receipt recording.
  • Handle sales tax submissions and prepare income tax workpapers for external tax preparers.
  • Manage and project cash flow, presenting financial reports to senior management, emphasizing significant changes or areas needing attention.
  • Develop and maintain financial records in our accounting system, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
  • Process all invoices received through designated channels, route them for approval, manage weekly check runs, and oversee payment distributions.
  • Monitor subcontractors' business licenses and insurance certificates, assisting with insurance responsibilities.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings.
  • Prepare a concise narrative for monthly meetings, summarizing financial activities and year-over-year comparisons.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a comprehensive accounting role.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage financial systems and budgets, with thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
