Account Executive - Hybrid 50% in-office (Buffalo, NY)


At Kickfurther, we power product entrepreneurs’ growth so they can go further, faster. To help us accelerate our outreach to an ever-growing list of potential clients, Kickfurther is searching for an experienced Account Executive with a proven record of high performance to join our Sales team. This is for you if you’re a revenue-driving individual contributor with the potential to develop into a team lead. Your primary focus will be on prospecting, creating opportunities, and closing new business, as well as upselling and renewing an existing book of business. Also, as a member of our rapidly scaling organization, you will have the opportunity to influence the evolution of our sales processes.


Kickfurther is a fintech platform backed by some of the investors behind Paychex, Robinhood, Zoom, Canva and many more amazing companies. Kickfurther operates a funding marketplace for businesses ranging from $500k-$50M+ in annual revenue. Kickfurther clients use our unique platform to access the capital they need to pay for inventory and support their growth.


Founded in 2014, Kickfurther was a 43North winner in 2018, and has closed funding from notable investors including Tom Golisano, Bill Tai, and Tim Draper. We’re confident that 2025 is going to be another big growth year and we need an extremely talented Account Executive with a proven record of success with the ability to identify and win new business.


Responsibilities

  • Close new business, with an expected mix of 50% outbound (self-generated) activity and 50% from inbound contacts (marketing, BDR team, and partnerships).
  • Meet (Zoom/Google Meet) with business owners and executives to understand their supply-chain, logistics, and sales plans in order to identify specific funding opportunities.
  • Structure deals and collect the necessary documentation and information to successfully close new business.
  • Travel to attend trade shows and generate new leads that result in new Kickfurther clients (expect 10% travel).
  • Effectively collaborate with our QC, development, legal, and leadership team members to fully achieve your business objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years as a top performing Account Executive, with Fintech, tech, or SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience prospecting and operating an outbound sales process to create an ongoing stream of sales leads and opportunities.
  • Education or experience in finance, marketing, business operations, or supply chain preferred.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics to individuals with varied levels of knowledge and experience.
  • Strong CRM skills, including Salesforce, Gong, Apollo, and Google Suite.
  • Experience working with financing rates and cost calculations, and using Excel, AI tools, and other new tech/applications.

  • Expected first year OTE after ramp-up is $180k+, including an uncapped commission plan.
