We are seeking an experienced Internal Compliance & Safety Lead to join our Regulatory team, which collaborates across all areas of the business. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring Percepto's adherence to a variety of legal, regulatory, and industry standards while fostering a culture of compliance and safety throughout the organization.


Position Summary: You will work with teams across the Company, including our engineering and product operation teams, to proactively identify and develop innovative, efficient, and effective solutions. You are seeking an iterative environment where you can drive innovation and apply state-of-the-art technologies to revolutionize the way vital infrastructure and assets are inspected and monitored.


The role will be onsite in Austin, TX, offering the potential for a hybrid work arrangement.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of internal company processes and procedures supporting departmental alignment to regulatory approvals and aviation safety standards.
  • Conduct ongoing oversight of internal processes regarding alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify risk areas and develop systems, policies, and procedures to manage and mitigate them.
  • Work closely with our R&D, Product, Operations, and Commercial teams to drive consistency and efficiently develop company safety and compliance standards.
  • Work with the regulatory department on its other activities and its mission as needs arise.


Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S. in Political science, Pre-law studies, Government and Public policy, journalism, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with Aviation Compliance roles, with a preference for Uncrewed Aviation roles.
  • Experience working on/leading safety risk management principles, preferred in aviation
  • Knowledge/understanding of operational risk assessments.
  • Knowledge/understanding of Safety Management Systems, preferred in aviation.
  • Detail oriented and adept at breaking complex or sprawling regulatory instructions into components and distinguishing between high- and low-priority issues.
  • Proven interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive team player with great people skills, the ability to work independently, and to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Sound and practical business judgment and intellectual creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to assist the regulatory department in its activities and its mission as needs arise.
