About the Role:We are looking for a seasoned professional with expertise in IT and cybersecurity compliance frameworks, regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience conducting compliance audits, assessing risks, and developing risk mitigation strategies. Responsibilities:- Compliance Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments of our IT and cybersecurity environments, ensuring adherence to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Risk Management: Perform risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and vulnerabilities, providing detailed reports and recommending risk mitigation strategies to address areas of non-compliance and reduce overall risk exposure.
- Policy Development and Enforcement: Collaborate with IT, security, and legal teams to develop and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring they are regularly updated and aligned with the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Regulatory Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities, including audit findings, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting, preparing detailed reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- Training and Awareness Programs: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance requirements, data protection laws, and cybersecurity best practices, fostering a compliance-driven culture across the organization.
- Vendor and Third-Party Compliance Management: Assess and manage the compliance of third-party vendors and partners, ensuring they meet our security and regulatory standards, conducting vendor risk assessments, and working with procurement teams to ensure third-party contracts include appropriate compliance clauses.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Strong Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IT and cybersecurity compliance frameworks, regulations, and industry standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST.
- Risk Management Experience: Proven experience conducting risk assessments, identifying compliance gaps, and developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Audit Experience: Hands-on experience conducting internal audits, preparing audit reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, able to explain complex compliance requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a strong ability to educate teams and build a compliance-first culture.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with data protection laws, security standards, and IT regulations, staying up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensuring compliance policies are regularly updated.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, able to break down complex compliance issues and develop effective solutions, proactive in finding ways to stay compliant and mitigate risks.
