Position Summary:

The Chief of Staff / Vice President of Operations (VP of Operations) is a critical leadership role within Katana Safety. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of company operations, ensuring that the business runs smoothly and efficiently. The VP of Operations will report directly to the CEO and will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the company, with the potential to ascend to the role of CEO. This role includes significant customer-facing responsibilities and requires a strategic thinker with a strong operational background. All departments within the company will report to the VP of Operations.

Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Strategic Planning

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective execution across all departments.
  • Implement and manage scalable processes and systems to support business growth.
  • Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term strategic plans.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and innovation.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all departments are aligned with company goals and objectives.

Customer Facing Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for customer inquiries and issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Understand customer needs and feedback to inform product development and operational improvements.

Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Analyze financial reports and KPIs to track operational performance and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to optimize resource allocation.
  • Regular and sustained performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in an operational leadership role, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven company.
  • Strong track record of managing and scaling operations in a high-growth environment.

Travel Required: Occasional travel may be required for business meetings or conferences.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
