The Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center is seeking a physician leader for the role of Deputy Chief of Staff within this 1A complexity facility.

The Deputy Chief of Staff will be accountable to the Chief of Staff for overseeing patient care programs and educational activities within clinical services. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Executive Leadership Team in planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the administrative functions essential to patient care.

The Deputy Chief of Staff will actively engage in the coordination and integration of clinical and support programs to effectively meet the needs of veterans. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, medical staff bylaws, facility policies, and performance measures, as well as developing and monitoring quality improvement initiatives.

Additional duties encompass evaluating clinical workload and resource allocation, conducting cost/benefit analyses for new services, and providing strategic advice to fulfill the facility's mission and objectives. The Deputy Chief of Staff will also establish policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of comprehensive services and foster strong relationships with affiliated medical institutions.
