Job Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of People and Culture (P&C) and member of the P&C Senior Leadership Team, the Strategy and Delivery Director will be responsible for planning strategic departmental goals and supporting effective delivery against those plans, including processes to adequately prioritize and measure success. The Director will be the go-to subject matter expert and strategic advisor to the SVP on matters related to People and Culture strategy.

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and drive adoption of IRC-wide People and Culture strategy and underlying initiatives to effectively deliver on IRC's ambitious learning, management, and diversity goals.
  2. Use data to develop people insights that define IRC's strategic People & Culture direction.
  3. Act as advisor to People and Culture Senior Leadership Team on People and Culture leading practices.
  4. Implement special projects as needed - these may be cross-functional or specific, short or long term.
  5. Plan and oversee the implementation of cross-functional initiatives and enable the organization and the function to effectively prioritize across initiatives.
  6. Collaborate with department focal points to develop detailed, meticulous, data-driven strategic and operational reviews with a focus on learning and prioritization.
  7. Conceptualize and write communications across all the various functions of People & Culture; internal organization-wide communications and external communications.
  8. Lead a dynamic and cohesive team of Project Managers by providing clear vision, fostering open communication, and guiding members to achieve collective goals with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  9. Establish deep working relationships with colleagues cross-IRC.
Job Requirements:
  1. Minimum 8-10 years in strategy development and execution that require substantial cross-departmental collaboration to deliver ambitious goals.
  2. Significant experience working with, and influencing, senior colleagues to solve sophisticated challenges and agreed mutually beneficial decisions.
  3. Proven experience supporting large-scale change initiatives.
  4. Strategy and problem-solving experience accurately diagnosing business challenges, and devising, crafting buy-in for, and implementing effective solutions with timely and efficient performance metrics.
  5. (Desirable) Experience in Human Resources and diversity, equality, and inclusion strategies.

  1. Ability to translate an organization's strategy and objectives into operational delivery.
  2. Outstanding project and collaboration skills with a consistent record delivery high-reaching, integrated, and critical initiatives on timelines.
  3. Organizational Change and Planning.

  5. Highly versatile and flexible, with a high degree of comfort changing and refining priorities and results.
  6. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address coordinated business needs.
  7. Experience and comfort with data analysis and budget management.
Key Working Relationships:

Position Reports to: SVP, People and Culture

Position directly supervises: P&C Strategy and Project Managers

Working Environment:
  1. Combination of standard office working environment and working remotely (i.e., telecommuting). Applicants must have a home or alternate workspace so they can effectively complete their work during regularly scheduled work hours.
  2. Some international travel as needed up to 30%.
Compensation:

Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.

US Benefits:

The IRC offers a comprehensive and highly competitive set of benefits. All US employees are eligible for sick time, a 403b retirement savings plans: up to 4.5% immediately vested matching contribution, plus an 3-7% additional IRC contribution, and an Employee Assistance Program which is available to our staff and their families to support in times of crisis and mental health struggles.

In addition, full-time employees are eligible for 10 US paid holidays, 20-25 paid time off days, disability & life insurance, medical, dental, and vision insurance (employee contribution starting at $135, $7, and $5 per month respectively) and FSA for healthcare, childcare, and commuter costs. Part-time employees are eligible for a proportionate amount of paid time off. These additional benefits apply to employees who work at least 6 months within a 12 month time period.
