Job SummaryThe Director of Healthcare Policy and Strategy will play a critical role in advancing our mission to improve healthcare outcomes and reduce costs. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive policy change and advance evidence-based solutions in the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Strategic Plans: The Director will work closely with our Vice President of Health Care to develop and implement strategic plans to drive policy change and advance evidence-based solutions in the healthcare sector.
- Conduct Research and Analysis: The Director will conduct research and analysis to identify key policy issues and opportunities for change, and develop recommendations for the Arnold Ventures Board of Directors.
- Build and Manage Relationships: The Director will build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, researchers, and other experts in the healthcare sector.
- Lead a High-Performing Team: The Director will lead a high-performing team and facilitate effective day-to-day operations for the team.
- Communicate Effectively: The Director will communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including the Arnold Ventures Board of Directors, government officials, and other experts in the healthcare sector.
- 8+ Years of Relevant Experience: The Director must have at least 8 years of relevant experience in healthcare policy and strategy, preferably including experience with federal or state policy.
- Strong Policy Analysis and Research Skills: The Director must have strong policy analysis and research skills, with the ability to understand technical and theoretical concepts.
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: The Director must have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional Strategic Thinking: The Director must have exceptional strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive policy change and advance evidence-based solutions.
