Duties/Responsibilities:
- Arrive to jobsites on time and ready to work
- Plan and coordinate the installation of Fire Alarm Systems with the site Supervisor and other trades
- Install conduit, raceways, and enclosures for Fire Alarm System wiring and components in accordance with applicable codes and job specs
- Operate a range of hand tools, including drills, benders, and threaders, to install and maintain fire alarm systems.
- Pull wire, install and terminate devices and control panels
- Integrate Fire Alarm System with BMS/BAS/HVAC systems as required by code and job details
- Test and troubleshoot completed Fire Alarm Systems prior to final inspection
- Complete all required paperwork for task planning, equipment inspections, etc.
- Install all Fire Alarm System components in a neat and workmanlike manner
Required Education and Experience:
- Valid Driver's License
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- NICET 1
- Valid F/A installer license in your home state
- Minimum 2 years of Experience installing Fire Alarm/Life Safety Systems
- Familiarity with NFPA 70, 72, 101
- In depth understanding of blueprints and ladder diagrams
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Electrical Journeyman's License
Physical Requirements:
- Physically fit and capable of carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work on manlifts, ladders and scaffolds.
- Ability to work in small/cramped spaces for short periods of time
- Working environment varies, depending on the type of job. Including, but not limited to natural ambient conditions, confined areas, ditches, or other uncomfortable places.
- Work weeks are typically 8-10-hour days Mon-Fri with project specific overtime, as needed.
- Project specific travel will be required.
Job Type: Full-time
