The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our US Gas Operations team in the American Gulf Region. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting high-pressure natural gas pipeline and gas storage systems, including turbine engine compressors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain gas-fired turbine engines, gas compressors, and other auxiliary equipment
  • Operate compressor engines and support equipment
  • Maintain and repair pipeline
  • Operate and maintain valves and operators
  • Inspect, repair, and set regulators and relief valves
  • Perform line locates and utility line patrols
  • Plan, coordinate, and perform mechanical maintenance activities
  • Complete work orders and enter data into job plans

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant oil and gas industry experience
  • Understanding of 4-cycle combustion engine operation
  • 3 years mechanical experience with internal combustion engines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting turbine engines
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines, centrifugal gas compressors, and standby generators
  • Experience with gas turbine engines
  • Industrial experience in a plant environment

Working Conditions

  • Adverse weather and temperatures
  • Heavy lifting (50 pounds)
  • Cramped conditions
