Job purpose
Responsible for coordinating and supervising the overall delivery of quality performance by mechanics, drivers, and Service associates.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with operations and branch managers to ensure seamless coordination.
- Review Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) in Motive for deficiencies, addressing or
eliminating them as needed.
- Oversee work orders from initiation to completion, ensuring they are managed efficiently. The Service Director will monitor work order efficiency.
- Ensure all purchase orders have receivers sent within 30 calendar days to maintain current records.
- Dispatch mechanics promptly for down units and daily tasks.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings to address current safety topics with Team Members.
- Track Preventative Maintenance (PM) due reports and schedule and execute PM services in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Schedule annual inspections as required.
- Adhere to SOPs set by the Service Director for the service department.
- Provide daily progress reports on each site or shop to Operations Managers and Senior Leadership.
- Ensure parts inventories and credit card purchases are billed to the appropriate work orders and approved by the 4th day of each month.
- Approve employee timecards daily to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain high-quality repairs in both the shop and field, including a minimum of two job site visits per month to inspect repairs and equipment condition, with detailed reports submitted to the Service Director.
- Attend L1O meetings with the Service Director to address service issues.
- Submit weekly reports on down equipment, major repair status, and Motive deficiency updates to the Service Director.
Qualifications
- • Availability 7 days a week with a rotational on-call schedule. Requests for time off (to the Service Director) have a higher probability of being approved with greater advance notice. You can make requests with little notice but there is little probability they will be approved if alternative coverage cannot be secured.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to cleanliness in shops and service trucks.
- Knowledge of shop safety and best practices in both shop and field environments.
- Ability to assist mechanics with troubleshooting and support as needed.

Working conditions
The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.
