Engineering CAD Technician

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled engineering CAD Technician to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineers and designers to produce high-quality CAD drawings and models for a variety of transportation projects including various NHDOT and MassDOT projects, MaineDOT culvert replacements, and Manchester RAISE projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed structural drawings and models using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop plans and specifications for projects.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and clients.
- Maintain organized records of all CAD files and project documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and technical reports.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Associate degree or certificate in Civil Technology, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Drafting, or a related field.
- Typically requires 0-5 years of experience as a CAD Technician, preferably in the structural engineering field; internship experience accepted.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of industry standards and DOT drafting standards.
