Compensation: $27 - $33/hour (+$1 shift differential for night shift)

Shift Time: 11:00 AM - 8 PM PST

Founded in 1999, DTG Recycle is the largest recycler of commercial, industrial, construction, and demolition materials in the Pacific Northwest.

DTG is seeking a Dispatcher who directs the day-to-day route operations. Duties involve daily communication and interaction with drivers and customers. The Dispatcher must also organize and conduct activities to ensure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance. They coordinate routes and service issue corrections. We are a drug free workplace. All candidates must pass a drug screen and background check prior to starting work.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Handle customer calls and communicate with drivers and managers as appropriate.
  • Monitor radio, telephone, and on-road provision of service for quality.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Monitor the driver’s hours daily.
  • May assign trips to drivers to assure adequate disbursement of trips between all assigned routes.
  • Monitor daily system performance.
  • Participate in analysis and review of operating performance.
  • Track closed and/or late starting of routes and communicate with managers.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum 2 years of previous transportation dispatcher experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of Customer Service experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience/familiarity with transportation software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Effective communication skills with an excellent phone demeanor.
  • Knowledge of the geographic service area is a plus.
