Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and expedite purchase orders for Production Tickets.
- Update ERP Label Traxx system with delivery dates for stock, ink, and tooling.
- Review and update purchase orders and tickets based on order confirmations.
- Communicate delays in purchase orders to scheduling and customer service.
- Manage outsourcing orders, including purchase orders and delivery tracking.
- Ensure timely arrival of materials for production by reviewing schedules and addressing delays.
- Maintain daily and monthly reports on open purchase orders.
- Work with the production team to improve efficiency in running tickets.
- Analyze history and run requirement reports to determine ordering needs.
- Assist in setting up new part numbers and suppliers, and maintain accuracy in the purchasing database.
- Collaborate with vendors to purchase repair or replacement parts.
- Coordinate and ensure timely shipment of transfers with warehouse staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with 1-3 months of related experience/training or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competency in basic math, including fractions, decimals, and interpreting bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
- Proficiency in basic software packages.
- Good phone skills and the ability to interact well with others.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequent use of hands/fingers for handling objects or tools.
- Occasional standing, walking, sitting, and reaching.
- Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment.
- Work environment noise level is usually low to moderate.
