Your day to day as a Systems Engineer - Mid Level

As a Mid-level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, you will be at the forefront of employing a multi-discipline approach to enhance the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. Your role will involve conducting in-depth requirements engineering, solutions engineering, reliability testing, and services development to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of GEOINT. You will play a crucial part in the analysis and improvement of existing systems, as well as designing innovative solutions based on requirements and emerging technologies. Collaborating closely with the Government, you will translate mission and customer needs into actionable system requirements and solutions, supporting strategic technical planning and project management. Requirements for this Systems Engineer - Mid Level job

To excel as a Mid-level Systems Engineer at Mission Intelligence Group, candidates must possess a strong foundation in requirements engineering, solutions design, and systems integration. The role requires exceptional analytical skills to conduct thorough planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, as well as the ability to develop innovative solutions based on emerging technologies. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strategic mindset in assisting with technical planning, risk management, and interface design. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effectively working with Government stakeholders and contributing to team efforts. The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving, a keen attention to detail, and a drive for excellence in all aspects of systems engineering.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific fields such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or related equivalent additional experience.
  • Mid-level working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including:
    DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments residing in cloud, on premise, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Mid-level or higher experience working systems engineering in government or industry.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages and f Software Development Frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate Systems engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Documented work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Membership or active participation in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences,
    geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program/project work experience.
  • Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience
