About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of complex systems and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, analysis, and execution of systems engineering activities, including requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system architectures, designs, and solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior engineers and ensure that all engineering activities are conducted in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, design documents, and test plans.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of system testing and validation activities.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and solutions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 18 years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong background in requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and system integration.
  • Experience working in a government or industry setting, with a strong understanding of the DoD/IC Acquisition Process and the PPBES Process.
  • TS/SCI clearance, or ability to obtain.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with systems engineering tools and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages.
  • Software Development Framework certification.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations, such as the Aerospace Corporation, the American Society of Civil Engineers, or the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation.
