Job Description

Job Summary

Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a highly skilled Expert Systems Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading dynamic engineering teams in a multi-discipline approach to pivotal projects for DIE, NGA, NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Government with comprehensive requirements engineering, solutions development, and systems integration.
  • Address scheduling, reliability, and maintainability challenges.
  • Play a key role in planning and analyzing user requirements, translating mission needs into actionable systems capabilities.
  • Advise on technology-driven design changes.
  • Oversee strategic technical planning, project management, and risk management processes.
  • Lead Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs) and coordinate efforts across various levels of engineering staff.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Masters degree in Systems Engineering and 15+ or Bachelor's Degree and 18+ years of experience in related technical or scientific fields.
  • Demonstrated expert level working experience in government or industry in releveant work areas including: DOD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated experience of systems engineering lifecycle.

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields.
  • Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages.
  • Software Development Framework certification.
  • INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Membership or leadership in any of the following professional organizations: ACM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, USGIF.
  • Demonstrated work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering solutions using Cloud-based technologies, structured and unstructured Big Data, Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
