Anticipated Start Date:September 2024
Position Summary:The Workforce Development UA will assist the Director of Workforce Development and the Academic & Career Navigator with follow up activities with participants of the Career Connect Revenue Cycle Management grant program and spreadsheet management.
Example of Job Duties:- Update grant program enrollment Excel spreadsheets.
- Research health care employers in CT to find additional places of employment and make cold calls to these organizations.
- Correspond with current students over the phone and email about their job search and employment opportunities.
- Manage the shipment of student completion packages.
- Attend occasional meetings with the Director of Workforce Development and the Academic & Career Navigator.
Associate degree in Communications or related field.
Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following:
- Excellent written and oral communication and professional interpersonal skills
- Excellent telephone skills
- Self-starter/requires little supervision
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Products - Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong Critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of healthcare jobs
- Familiarity with Connecticut healthcare organizations
- CT State Resident
$25.00 hourly.
