HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor in the manufacturing industry in Compton, CA


Salary: $70k OTE ($65k base + 7% Bonus)

Shift: 7a-3:30p M-F + approx. Very limited overtime.

Location: Compton, CA


Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • This is a HANDS ON / WORKING supervisor role. You will be doing equipment & facilities repairs, changing out molds, doing preventative maintenance, trainings, troubleshooting, etc.
  • You will lead the safety program, do Gemba walks, be a part of cost saving initiatives, 3 x week doing metrics analysis
  • Supervise the maintenance team of 4, ensuring efficient scheduling, utilization of maintenance hours, and minimization of work backlog
  • Act as the primary technical resource for maintenance and operations, including troubleshooting and emergency repairs
  • Assist with water treatment processes including testing and reporting on water samples
  • Develop and promote a culture aiming for world-class maintenance practices, including preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Coordinate contractor work related to production equipment and facility repairs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA) and maintain safety and ISO protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Uphold and promote the company's values, focusing on safety, quality, and environmental stewardship


Education Requirements


  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred
  • Three to five years of related experience, with a blend of mechanical maintenance and leadership


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Demonstrated ability in leading maintenance teams and projects
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and troubleshooting systems
  • Experience with maintenance of low-pressure boilers, air compressors, air dryers, and vacuum pumps preferred
  • Capable of repairing and maintaining material handling equipment like forklifts
  • Strong business acumen and alignment with strategic goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop alternative solutions
  • Professional demeanor, ethical standards, and confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Superior organizational skills and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
