Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and maintaining payroll records. This role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Verify timekeeping records and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Maintain employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in payroll status.
- Calculate and process wage garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and other special payroll items.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee data and benefit deductions.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- iSolved experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
