About the Job

The HR Associate will play a critical role in supporting the Human Resources department by managing new hire onboarding processes and providing day-to-day HR support to all employees. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring a positive employee experience. This role requires a proactive approach to HR administration, a thorough understanding of HR policies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • New Hire Onboarding:

    • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, completing background checks, and completing all pre-employment paperwork.

    • Organize and conduct new employee orientation sessions to introduce new hires to company policies, culture, and benefits.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.

    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure that new employees' equipment, access, and workspace needs are met on their first day.

    • Ensure employees are set up in the appropriate HRIS systems and understand how to navigate them.

    • Upload all necessary documents to the employee's internal file.

  • Employee Support and Services:

    • Act as a key resource for employees by addressing inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and other HR-related matters.

    • Support employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive work environment by being accessible and approachable to all employees.

    • Assist with administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave of absence requests.

    • Ensure compliance with company policies, and state and federal regulations, and maintain up-to-date employee records.

  • HR Administration:

    • Assist with the preparation of HR reports and data analysis for internal reviews and audits.

    • Maintain accurate and organized HR files, including personnel records, training documentation, and compliance records.

    • Provide support for HR-related projects, including employee engagement surveys, performance reviews, and training initiatives.

    • Collaborate with the HR team to continuously improve processes related to onboarding, employee services, and HR operations.

  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, and other relevant regulations.

    • Partner with the HR Manager to ensure a safe and inclusive workplace for all

    • employees, actively participating in safety initiatives and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Proficiency in HR software and Google Suites.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations is a plus.
