POSITION OVERVIEW

NBME is seeking a proactive and strategic Partnership Development Manager to identify and support collaborative partnerships, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role is crucial for driving our company's growth & innovation by building alliances and identifying potential acquisition targets that align with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate should be persuasive, have excellent relationship building skills and have a strong business acumen. This is not a sales role.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on collaborative ventures, partnerships, and M&A activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, potential partners, and investment banking advisors/firms.
  • Evaluate the financial and strategic fit of potential partners and acquisition targets through rigorous due diligence processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to assess risks and benefits of proposed partnerships.
  • Manage the negotiation process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and financial guidelines. Contribute to partnership agreement negotiations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth execution of partnership agreements and integration of collaborations.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of partnership development initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Stay abreast of market developments/trends, market players/competitors, and regulatory changes that may impact the partnership development strategy.

DELIVERABLES

  • Tracking and reporting of business development initiative progress and metrics.
  • Preparing documentation required for partnerships and M&A's with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining networking and relationship management records.
  • Potential partner presentations to communicate business proposals, value and benefits of the partnership or M&A to multiple stakeholders.



REQUIREMENTS

Skills and abilities

  • Proven track record of identifying and executing successful partnerships and acquisitions.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to conduct thorough due diligence.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or M&A.

We help develop the next generation of assessment professionals through our Summer Psychometric Internship Program. Through the Stemmler Fund, Strategic Educators Enhancement Fund and Latin America Grants Program, researchers and educators can continue to improve the assessment of health care professionals around the world.
