The Commercial Business Development Associate will be connecting with business decision makers to communicate the value of going solar, learn about their company, and set appointments for the sales team. The role is travel based, with a focus on the New York Metropolitan Area. As a part of your training you’ll work closely with your manager to learn and develop methods to engage with customers in a comfortable and confident demeanor. There will be a focus on providing you with extensive product and industry knowledge in a short period of time, providing you with the tools necessary to communicate value. 

Associates with strong performance will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, stepping into a sales based role. This will build on your growing experience, and involve becoming intimately familiar with deal structures, business finances, and understanding value propositions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify solar viable businesses
  • Generate interest for business owners by educating them on the benefits of solar
  • Collect high level client information to aid in solar proposals
  • Setting appointments with business owners for a solar specialist to meet them
  • Attending office training sessions to learn the details of commercial solar offerings
