RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive Girl Scout membership growth in service units (local communities) by developing and implementing wide-ranging recruitment and retention plans for girls/adult volunteers in troops, volunteer-led series, Girl Scouting in the School Day, and other opportunities based on community individualities and in alignment with council recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Implement volunteer program management to ensure excellent support and customer service to volunteers and parents through communication, education, and recognition to support the achievement of council program and customer experience targets.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive community plan for each service unit that engages and prepares volunteers, parents and community organizations to provide girls with a high-quality, progressive Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
  • Cultivate and collaborate with local schools, community organizations and networks to increase visibility and opportunities for girls, ​​​​recruit volunteers, and increase program and funding partnerships to meet council objectives.
  • Provide support to Council strategic initiatives including circles, product sales, camp and fund development efforts through department and project teamwork.


REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • H.S. Diploma required, any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers experience is essential.
  • Experience in recruitment and/or sales preferred.
  • Background in community development, outreach, networking and partnership, including school partnerships, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid state driver's license and a vehicle for work within the region. (Mileage reimbursement)
