JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Liaise with US Space Force, the Intelligence Community, and other space-based organizations to coordinate DOD policy and capabilities issues. Reconcile Servicespecific requirements across the Joint Force.
  • Participate in and Joint and forums to include: Space Leadership Council (NSLC) meetings, NSLC Integrated Process Team (IPT) meetings, Extended Space Team meetings, space- related conferences, and ad hoc meetings.
  • Draft, review, and staff space-related DoD plans, instructions, and requirements documents.
  • Liaise and coordinate Information-related taskers through official correspondence tasking systems.
  • Coordinate locations and documentation for space-related meetings and take meeting minutes. Produce reports and presentations supporting these meetings. Track status and completion of actions.
  • Develop and update PowerPoint presentations and draft formal letterhead correspondence and documents in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Echelon II commands for Space needs generation.
  • Assist and support Service advocacy for specific requirements within the USSF Force design efforts.
  • Support Service participation in space-related DOD acquisition processes to include Middle Tier Acquisition (MTA) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes.
  • Support organization's role as the OPNAV clearinghouse for Naval Space Needs.
  • Liaise and coordinate internal to DON for cross-functional communication concerning key stakeholder space equities.
  • Assist and coordinate with identification of new and innovative space-based technologies to support current and future needs.
  • Provide support for management oversight, drafting policy guidance, and coordinating budget and special interest items.
  • Coordinate and prepare deliverables for DON/DoD leadership, outside agencies, Executive Branch, and others as directed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: TS/SCI

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years of experience (at least five years of which were in a managerial capacity) in capability definition and operation of IT, space systems, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and/or unmanned systems.
  • Knowledge of Capital Planning and Investment Control; development of Enterprise Architectures, Standards, Governance, Policy; Information Assurance/Security; the Department of Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) Process; and Naval concepts is highly desired.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, executing and controlling performance of technical, business and financial services projects ensuring that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.
  • Provides primary interface with client management personnel regarding strategic issues.
  • Coordinates all parties to tasks, performs quality assurance reviews of project deliverables and activities for completeness, quality, and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Delivers presentations and leads client meetings.
