Financial Analyst for Naval Operations

The Ladders is seeking a Financial Analyst with a strong background in providing financial support to the U.S. Navy. This role involves collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver effective solutions for naval modernization projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage funding documentation within Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) for relevant projects.
  • Utilize financial systems such as Program Budget Information System (PBIS) and Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA) to generate financial analyses and reports.
  • Compile and distribute weekly funding summaries, ensuring accurate tracking of active year funding.
  • Maintain and update project tracking tools.
  • Act as a liaison for data entry related to Task Planning Sheets (TPS) within the NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS).
  • Monitor fiscal year allocation plans and execution reports.
  • Create and refine PowerPoint presentations using financial data, demonstrating advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Engage in planning discussions with government and business stakeholders.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Work Environment: This position is primarily based at a corporate headquarters, with potential for partial remote work.

Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret security clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in financial program planning and budget management, including:
    • Knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process.
    • Experience with Navy financial systems, including N-ERP, EDW, COBRA, PBIS, and NEPS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with DOD and USN policies, particularly regarding financial systems and budgeting processes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
