About this Opportunity:
Our NC Operator 2 role sets up, troubleshoots, and runs the most complicated NC work.
Responsibilities
- Set up and run the most complex jobs in any of the NC punch presses.
- Make program edits to alter quantities, forming tools, and machine hydraulics as it pertains to our machines in the shop.
- Know in depth "G" code manipulation to alter multiple part commands, hydraulics for forming, or any
other adjustment that is needed. - Operate and be able to troubleshoot minor problems with the different style Loaders.
- Help to keep the NC Department and machinery clean and orderly.
- Know, adjust, and service turret tooling.
- Work with little to no supervision and assist other operators when needed.
- Do routine servicing of machine, including station alignment. Clean the outside of the machine and area.
Requirements / Skills:
- 5 years minimum experience in precision sheet metal, primarily in the NC area, but forming and
overall shop experience is preferred. - Must have very good print reading skills including callouts and part rotation.
- Be able to use calipers and tape measure.
- Understand what the machine is doing when operating as well as know how the machine can run at
its most efficient level. - Have good understanding of basic mathematics as well as some trigonometry.
- Requires the ability to read, write and understand written documents.
