Role Overview: NC Programmer

Are you ready to take your career to new heights? As an NC Programmer at AASC, you'll be at the forefront of aerospace innovation, using cutting-edge computer-aided manufacturing software to transform engineering designs into reality. You will create CNC programs to drive CNC-controlled machines, shaping the future of aerospace technology. If you're skilled in Mastercam and ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, we want you on our team

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Utilize computer-aided manufacturing software to create CNC Machining Programs that enable the production of precision flight and tooling machined components.
  • Data Management: Maintain CNC Program revision status and archive computer files according to AASC procedures to ensure seamless operations.
  • Documentation: Generate detailed tool lists and setup sheets for CNC Programs, providing clear instructions for machine operators.
  • Feasibility Analysis: Analyze engineering data to assess the feasibility of product proposals and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • Compliance: Follow engineering data control procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAM software, including Mastercam and Verisurf.
  • Expertise in ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • General level: Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years’ experience, or a total of 10 years’ experience in the related field, or 5 years’ experience with 5-Axis.
  • Senior level: Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years’ experience, or a total of 15 years’ experience in the related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience operating a CNC machine.
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience with software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Catia, or NX.

Salary Range: $35.00 – $55.00 per hour. This is the estimated range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting, with actual pay determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, and organizational needs.
